Katherine Lyons MA (Dist.), BA (Hons), first class

Learning Consultant - Postgraduate

National Centre for Teaching and Learning

Senior Tutor

School of English and Media Studies

I'm a Learning Consultant with the Centre for Teaching and Learning; I teach writing and academic skills, in person and through digital learning objects, to whole classes and one-on-one. I have also taught 230111 Tū Kupu: Writing and Inquiry since 2011.

I have worked for the CTL's pre-reading service since 2010, and have also been a research assistant in the School of People, Environment and Planning, an editor for the School of Management, a tutor in the Politics programme - and, outside of Massey, a phlebotomist and possum hunter. I enjoyed them all, but teaching is my favourite!
