Staff within the Veterinary, Animal and Biomedical Sciences area at Massey University conduct research across a large number of species in a wide range of disciplines. As the first and only university in New Zealand to offer veterinary science, we have a long history of expertise in veterinary-related research.
We also train scientists, consultants and veterinarians through teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, involvement in postgraduate research projects and providing professional development opportunities.
Massey undertakes research in the fields of veterinary sciences and public health.
Massey has ongoing research examining beef, sheep and dairy production, as well as in the pig, poultry, deer and equine industries.
