The Postgraduate Diploma in Museum Studies consists of 120 credits taken at 700 level from the programme schedule.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Museum Studies may be awarded with Distinction or Merit if study is completed to a superior/high standard, and where all requirements have been completed within one year for full-time study or within three years for part-time study.
The maximum time permitted for completion of this qualification is 4 years.
Students are required to complete the compulsory course 150.715 Taonga Tuku Iho: Heritage Aotearoa and a further 90 credits from courses listed on the programme schedule.
These regulations should be read in conjunction with all other Statutes and Regulations of the University including the General Regulations for Postgraduate Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas and Postgraduate Certificates
All courses are 30 credits each unless otherwise indicated.
150.715 Taonga Tuku Iho: Heritage Aotearoa
Students who have completed the equivalent of at least three years full-time museum experience may be permitted to substitute another 700 level course for one of the above subject courses.
