Before enrolling for this Diploma, you shall:
Along with certified copies of academic transcripts and certificates, you may be required to provide evidence of sufficient background experience. If you hold any other Bachelors degree or equivalent and have no professional qualification in teaching you will need to provide a copy of your curriculum vitae (CV) to support your application.

All students commencing study towards the Postgraduate Diploma in Education on or after 1 January 2016 must satisfy the requirements specified in these regulations.
Students who commence study towards the Postgraduate Diploma in Education prior to 1 January 2016 may choose to transfer to these regulations, providing they can satisfy all requirements as specified.
Students enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma in Education prior to 1 January 2019 who have completed at least 30 credits towards the Tertiary Education endorsement may be permitted to substitute a course or courses already completed for a course or courses in the Tertiary Education Schedule. For such students, the substitution of a course already completed towards the subject for the compulsory course 273.785 may be permitted. These transitional arrangements expire 31 December 2022.
In all cases students must complete the qualification within the timeframes for completion.
All students shall complete at least 120 credits at 700-level. The qualification may be awarded with or without a subject endorsement.
Without subject endorsement: Students completing the PGDipEd without a subject endorsement must complete 120 credits from any of the endorsement schedules or elective schedule. This will allow you to construct a qualification individualised to your personal needs.
With subject endorsement: Students must complete at least 90 credits from the relevant subject endorsement schedule, including any compulsory courses. The requirements for each endorsement are set out in the schedule for the qualification. An additional 30 credits may come from any of the subject schedules, or from the elective schedule.
It is recommended that any compulsory courses are completed first.
These regulations should be read in conjunction with all other Statutes and Regulations of the University including the General Regulations for Postgraduate Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas and Postgraduate Certificates
Note: The following are the research methods courses that are prerequisite/s for undertaking research in the Master of Education. If you are intending to progress onto the Master of Education it is recommended that you complete your research methods just prior to undertaking your research, i.e. after you have completed the content courses of the PGDipEd:
