Along with certified copies of academic transcripts and certificates, you may be required to provide evidence of sufficient background experience. If you hold any other Bachelors degree or equivalent and have no professional qualification in teaching you will need to provide a copy of your curriculum vitae (CV) to support your application.
If you have completed the Postgraduate Certificate you may apply for entry with credit into the Postgraduate Diploma in Education. Admission will be determined by the entry criteria and requirements for each programme and may require the Postgraduate Certificate to be surrendered when the Postgraduate Diploma has been completed. Your course of study may not exceed two years, unless a period of suspension or extension is approved by the Academic Board.
Subject to approval of the Academic Board, if you are enrolled in a Institute of Education postgraduate diploma, masters qualification or Doctor of Education degree you may apply to exit with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education providing you have completed at least 60 credits at postgraduate level within two years unless a period of suspension or extension has been approved by Academic Board.

All candidates commencing study towards the Postgraduate Certificate in Education on or after 1 January 2016 must satisfy the requirements specified in these regulations.
Candidates who commenced study towards the Postgraduate Certificate in Education prior to the 1 January 2016 may choose to transfer to these regulations, providing they can satisfy all requirements as specified.
In all cases candidates must complete the qualification within the timeframes for completion.
You shall follow a course of study comprising 700-level courses to the value of 60 credits, including at least 30 credits from the Postgraduate Certificate in Education Schedule and up to 30 credits of other Education courses.
These regulations should be read in conjunction with all other Statutes and Regulations of the University including the General Regulations for Postgraduate Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas and Postgraduate Certificates
