This is a parts-based programme, offering either a professional or research pathway of study. At least a B- grade average is required to progress from Part One under the Professional route, whilst at least a B grade average is required to progress from Part One under the Research route.
Students who do not meet the minimum grade average required for progression may be exited with a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science or the Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing if they meet the relevant qualification requirements.
Students will complete the following compulsory courses:
168.713 Evidence-Based Practice (30 credits)
251.731 Advanced Occupational Health and Safety (30 credits)

250.816 Professional Project (60 credits) OR
250.817 Research Report (60 credits)
Students will complete the following compulsory courses:
251.731 Advanced Occupational Health and Safety
Either 168.711 Health Research Design and Method or 179.702 Advanced Research Methods

Either a 120 credit thesis:
251.805 Thesis Part One (60 credits) and
251.806 Thesis Part Two (60 credits
Or a 90 credit thesis:
251.801 Thesis Part One (45 credits) and
251.802 Thesis Part Two (45 credits)
If completed with sufficient merit and within 18 months of full-time study or 4 years of part-time study, this qualification may be awarded with Distinction or Merit.
This can be completed by one of the following options:
