Te Pikitanga exhibition space at the Massey University Library Pukeahu campus presents an opportunity for academics and students at all levels to present displays of their research. It also offers students of the College of Creative Arts an opportunity to develop their curatorial and exhibition design practices.
The intended contributors to Te Pikitanga are researchers and students of the Wellington Campus community.
Potential exhibitors must supply a completed Application to Exhibit form to a Library Staff member. Either print and return the below PDF, or use the form found at this link. After the submission of the form, the potential exhibitor will be contacted by a member of staff for further discussion and for approval.
Promotional responsibilities rest with the exhibitor/s. The Wellington Library staff will undertake limited promotion through Library social media channels.
Content of exhibitions is subject to the approval of the Campus Librarian or their representative. Exhibitions in Te Pikitanga reflect the scholarly, cultural and social concerns of the community of Massey University Wellington.
The approval process includes an indication of whether the proposed exhibition covers any areas of potential concern (for example, use of images of tīpuna, religious content, nudity and/or sexual content, or hate speech). There is also an opportunity to discuss parameters around photography of work displayed and noise content (for performance and video work).
Use of Massey University and Massey University Library logos and branding material must be discussed prior to commencement of exhibition with the Campus Librarian. This can be discussed as part of the Application to Exhibit process.
Massey University and Massey University Library is not liable for any damage to or theft of items used in exhibitions.
