To make your research more visible and reach a bigger audience, share and promote it as widely as possible. This has the potential to increase its impact.
Watch this video for tips: Maximising Your Citations
Once your research is published, many publishers will allow you to share it more widely via open access channels. These are crawled by Google and anyone with Internet access (media, policy makers, researchers with no access to pricey subscriptions, practitioners, the public) can read it.
Promote your publications using plain language, targeting particular audiences, and wherever possible include your publication’s doi or handle.
