Intending Doctoral and Masters Student membership is available to individuals who:
The Library acknowledges that you will require access to Library resources in order to research a topic and produce a proposal to be accepted into your programme. All applications are considered on a case by case basis.
Please arrange for the Head of School/Institute, Department or supervisor to submit a written request for Library membership. The request should include the student name and full contact details together with confirmation that the student is preparing a research proposal.
You are entitled to borrow books in person at any Massey University library. You may also request to have books posted to your home address if you meet the eligibility requirements of the Distance Library Service.
You have the same borrowing conditions as a Postgraduate student. Borrowing entitlements are provided for up to a maximum of four months.
The BONUS+ borrowing scheme is available to Intending Doctoral and Masters Students members.
We provide off-campus access to electronic databases, ejournals and ebooks for up to a maximum of four months.
On-campus access to electronic databases, ejournals and ebooks can only be enabled through a network account, which your school, institute or department needs to arrange with Massey's Information Technology Services.
However, visitor access to some Library electronic resources is available to all users who visit in person. More Information: Walk-in Resources (223 KB)
You are welcome to contact a Subject Librarian to arrange an appointment to discuss your topic research.
You may be entitled to delivery of Massey Library journal articles or to borrow from other libraries. Look up your Intending Doctoral and Masters Students entitlements
