Student Health and Counselling Service provides quality, confidential and professional health care services that are affordable, accessible, and promote the overall wellbeing and academic success of Massey University students.

Measles alert

Measles is a serious and highly infectious viral disease. If you have any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Rash
  • Sore throat
  • Runny nose
  • Red eyes
  • Cough

Please call Health line for free 0800 611 611 to be assessed or you can call the Student Health Service on +64 4 9793030 to speak to a nurse. If you have a fever AND any of the above symptoms, please call first before coming into the centre.

Have you had your Measles Mumps and Rubella (MMR) immunisation?

If no, you can make an appointment with Student Health Services to have this done for free. The only way to prevent getting measles is to get immunised.

A free 24-hour telephone health advice service funded by the Ministry of Health. This service is operated by registered nurses who will assess a person's condition and health needs and recommend the best course of action to be taken. Get Your Flu Vaccination Now!

Please contact the Student Health and Counselling Centre to make an appointment for your Flu Vaccination.  Check out the leaflet on the importance of getting immunised against this serious illness, and you may even be eligible for a free flu vaccination or a $15.00 fee.
